Music Video Draft 2

Image
This is our version of our music video which we edited as a group. We used our class feedback to gather the correct and most effective shots, and used experimentation to achieve artistic shots. I believe that this version of our video shows a significant improvement to our first understandings and attempts at a product of the Hip Hop genre. We, as a group, believe there is still room for small elements of improvement. We believe we could attempt to add more shots of our chorus artist Joel. And we believe we could edit where we have chosen to add our Black and White filters.

Proof Of Editing

Image
We edited most of our final video at Ben Field's house however our draft videos were edited individually at school. I believe that when we edited as a group it was more successful and we were able to discus how to conform to the genre more in depth. Both scenarios  of making our draft and our final piece we used Adobe Premier Pro.

Proof of Filming

These photos were taken whilst filming at Ben's house, I used a Nikon D3400 camera. It was easy for us to communicate to one another to achieve the best shots.

Improvements to my Draft Video

Image
Obvious improvements i need to make to my music video would be to complete all of my shots and work on my editing to synchronize the visuals to my audio so that lips syncing is an effective element in this video.  As well as this we have received feedback to experiment more with editing and Premier Pro in terms of filters. In terms of our setting we decided to get rid of our setting of a forest/ wood like environment and use one that was a house space. To insinuate this we have decided to go with a room with a modern theme and then include items which are like a studio which will have Ben (Distinct) talking into a microphone and recording his song into the microphone. We believe as a group that because we have resulted to this we are meeting conventions and expectations of our genre more effectively. We have also decided to introduce a vocal artist to our video to perform the chorus. The only place they will appear with be the choruses of the song in video and be set in the White Room

Writing style and colour for my CD

Image
The chrome-like writing which is used on these CDs is the style I would like to be noted that I was hoping to convey through my digipak layout. Unfortunately there was no way i could have shown this during the design process on Photoshop.

CD Digipak

This is what I hope my Digipak to look like with a cellophane wrap and a bar code sticker.  Without-  My disk- I would like my tray to maintain my leaf image and the CD to take up the pattern subject to the position. The writing on the CD I was hoping to achieve a reflective metal sheen which reflected when moved (almost mirror- like material).

Digipak back cover research

These are templates I could use as inspiration- I have decided i do not want to include the title of my album or my artist's name like these albums (besides Eminem). I can use a layout and input material as inspiration for my legal writing to include in my product. I still (as I have in my draft) want to include the timings in my track listing just as Space Trax has for their track listings. I do like the use of the dividing live for the Arctic Monkeys album- I may give this a go.
