This version was so successful that it set a standard for further recording in the 50s and beyond such as Elvis and Led Zepplin's covers. Summer Time Blues- Eddie Cochran. This performance video is a classic example of revolutionary rockabilly music as this video and song sees Cochran combining a bluegrass style with the new rock and roll sounds. This hit was very popular with teenagers who were emerging from the strong demographic of popular music. This song was written in response and retaliation to the popular summer time songs that were listened to at the time and highlighted the season's hardship instead.
